Astor KM-QK 1948-1953 "Mickey" These Mickey's were produced with a number of different style dials, some featuring one state (NSW, VIC, TAS etc) others covered the whole country. The early version of the radio has the speaker facing the front mounted behind the dial. The louvres are purely decorative and are not punched out. Later they moved the speaker to the side and punched out the louvres and replaced the Perspex dial with a glass dial. These radios have a totally different case the dial opening is bigger and the two lugs in the centre front louvres are not there. All the colours and variations mean you could spend a lifetime completing a set of Mickey's. |
